This section, together with the 'Life on Board' and 'Essential Information' pages, which form part of the Booking Conditions, includes some practical information to help you book your holiday.

BOOKING YOUR HOLIDAY

When you contact us, please assist us by having the following information available: first name and surname of all members of your party together with details of dates of birth and any special requirements or disabilities.

 

It is essential that the family and first names on the passport match those on your travel documents exactly.

 

When you contact us to make a booking we will, in most cases be able to confirm your holiday immediately, and advise you of flight times and other itinerary details as well as the price including any applicable supplements or extras. For high season dates, when the demand is great, and also if you book within eight weeks of departure, we may have to request additional cabin or hotel space, which means that it may take slightly longer to confirm your holiday, though usually no more than 48 hours.

 

We are unable to accept provisional or conditional bookings.

CORRESPONDENCE

When you make your booking through 'Coastal Cruises', all communication between you and Silversea Cruises must be through us. Please quote the reference number shown on your invoice in any communication.

 

We will endeavour to send a confirmation invoice within 7 days of receiving your booking form and deposit. At busy times up to 14 days should be allowed. Only one invoice and one set of documents are issued per booking form. If you are travelling with friends, but would like to receive separate documents please complete two booking forms and advise us at the time of booking. Your travel documents will normally be dispatched to 'Coastal Cruises' two weeks before departure.

THE BOOKING FORM

Please ensure that all sections of the booking form are completed, including the personal information which shipping companies are required to hold in accordance with maritime law.

 

The person shown as the Lead Name on the booking form should sign the form on behalf of all passengers included in the booking.

DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENTS

Once you have asked us to confirm your booking the total price of the arrangements you have booked is due and is payable as follows:-

 

(i) If you book more than 90 days before your scheduled departure date, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the holiday cost is payable when you book and the balance 90 days before your scheduled departure date.

 

(ii) If you book less than 90 days before your scheduled departure date the full price is payable when you book.

 

Our preferred method of deposit payment is by bank debit card, credit card or American Express. Balance payment may be made by bank debit card, credit card, American Express or cheque (providing there is time to clear it to meet the payment schedule shown above - you should allow 5 working days for clearance from the time we receive it).

CREDIT CARD CHARGES

No charge will be made for deposits or balances paid by bank debit card, or balance paid by cheque. However, in line with most major tour operators, we will make a charge of 2% for payments made with credit card or American Express.
